The competition for tickets to Au Quan is fierce, all members of the Big 6 of the UK take to the stage!

The battle for the top five positions in this season’s Premier League has finally begun to feel familiar.

In the midweek make-up match, Newcastle thrashed Crystal Palace 5–0 at St James’ Park. Freed from the burden of a game in hand, the Magpies leapfrogged Nottingham Forest (57 points)—who had previously sat in the top three—by moving to 59 points, temporarily climbing to third in the table and taking a solid step toward a Champions League berth.

But the situation suddenly changed. Freshly crowned League Cup champions, Newcastle were dealt a heavy blow at Villa Park before they could breathe easy.

Up against an Aston Villa side in hot form after exiting the Champions League quarter-finals, Newcastle collapsed unexpectedly in the second half, conceding three in a row and ultimately losing 1–4. This “six-pointer,” which directly affected the fight for Champions League places, ended in a convincing win for Villa.

With the victory, Villa drew level on points with Nottingham Forest and rose to seventh. Although still at the back of the “top-five race,” this win helped them avoid an early exit from the chase and kept alive hopes of reaching next season’s Champions League.

Even though Newcastle’s five-match winning streak ended, they remain third and are still within touching distance of a return to the Champions League.

Manchester City grind out a narrow win to protect the top four, with a key showdown looming
City had to travel to Goodison Park this round and found it tough going against a strong Everton side. Not until the 84th minute was the deadlock truly broken, when left-back Nunes crossed from the right and young center-back O’Reilly fired home.

In stoppage time, Gündoğan set up Kovačić to add another with a long-range strike. Manchester City took all three points with a hard-fought 2–0 win and remained firmly in fourth place.

Next up, Manchester City host Aston Villa at the Etihad—a crucial “top-five battle.” The Blue Moon Army currently lead Villa by one point on 58. If they can use home advantage to avenge the first-leg defeat, they’ll cement a top-four spot and kick off the final sprint toward a Champions League ticket.

Chelsea’s last-minute goal keeps a glimmer of hope alive as the race for the top five tightens
Chelsea visited Craven Cottage this round and fell behind early. Had they dropped more points, they would have been virtually saying goodbye to the Champions League race. Fortunately, George equalized with a long-range effort in the 84th minute, and Neto sealed the comeback with a volley in the box in stoppage time. The Blues produced a dramatic turnaround to take all three points.

Notably, the timing of Chelsea’s game-changing equalizer coincided with Manchester City breaking the deadlock in the 84th minute—followed by each side’s decisive late goal. The Premier League’s drama never disappoints.

Manchester United and Tottenham eye the Europa League as Nottingham face a test
Nottingham Forest’s match against Tottenham Hotspur has yet to kick off, but without all three points at the new White Hart Lane, they risk a third straight defeat, and their strong early-season work could go to waste. As a historic giant boasting more European Cups than Premier League titles, Nottingham’s slide would be unfortunate.

By contrast, the “disappointed duo” are Tottenham and Manchester United.

Both have fallen behind in the league and can now only salvage their seasons by winning the Europa League. As fate would have it, they are quite likely to meet in the Europa League final.

The Big Six mobilize as the European spots race heats up
Liverpool hold the Premier League crown in their sights, Arsenal look to break through in the Champions League, Manchester City and Chelsea are fighting tooth and nail for Champions League places, and Manchester United and Tottenham vow to rebound via the Europa League… Among the Premier League’s Big Six, although some have fallen back, none are giving up.

This is the Premier League—nothing is guaranteed and anything can happen.
